My Story

Ramya Bhat is a  Bharatanatyam dancer trained under Guru Anuradha Vikranth for the past two decades.

​

She holds a Master's degree in Human Development and a Master's in Fine Arts from SASTRA University, under the guidance of Padmabushan Guru Dr Padma Subramanyam.

​

Ramya is a graded artist on Doordarshan and has performed in various television programmes such as  'Madhura Madhuri manjula gana' of Doordarshan Chandana, ' Naada Neeranjanam ' of TTD, 'Tele Serial Awards' of Zee TV (Kannada) 'Sangeeta Saarvabhauma Film festival awards, 'Anubandha Awards ceremony' of Colours Kannada and so on.

She works as Guest Faculty at Sri Satya Sai University's Performing arts department for Human Excellence. 

​

The Mahadevapura resident welfare association has awarded Ramya the Mahadevapura Kala Siri for her contribution to dance.

​

Ramya started “Sattvada", a dance institution in Kannur, Bangalore, aiming to provide systematic training in Bharatanatyam and to promote overall holistic development through Indian classical dance.

 

She has given several dance performances across states in India.

​

Ramya has been very passionate about dance and wishes to continue to share and contribute to the promotion of classical dance through her dance institution Sattvada.
